Wimbledon 2019 has kicked off! The famous tennis championship runs from Monday July 1st to Sunday 14th. Held at the All England Club in Wimbledon, it is the oldest tennis competition in the world and widely regarded as the most prestigious. The next few days will showcase some of the most exciting, fast-paced and nail-biting moments the game will ever see.

The England number one, Johanna Konta made her debut on Day 2 of the event beating Romanian tennis player Ana Bogdan in straight sets.  Konta, who reached the semi-finals at Wimbledon in 2017, is one of just a handful of British players in action throughout the tournament. Since 1877 Wimbledon has traditionally been played on grass courts and is the only major to still play on grass, which is fortunate as it's Konta's favoured surface.

To celebrate Wimbledon, Oliver Goldsmith have collaborated with British accessory brand Radley London.  This London born brand have an incredible passion for'crafting beautiful handbags and accessories that women love.'  Radley have recently announced their new brand ambassador for their Radley Spirit campaign will be the one and only Johanna Konta, and we are excited to have worked together on a fantastic competition.

For your chance to win the contents of Johanna's Radley bag, including a pair of Oliver Goldsmith Carnaby sunglasses and a whole host of other goodies, head over to Radley's page to discover more on how to enter.   Radley share a very similar approach to design as Oliver Goldsmith, their intention is'to blend creative design, quality materials and immaculate craftmanship, not forgetting plenty of personality to finish' and we couldn't agree more.

In the 1950's Oliver Goldsmith designed one of our most iconic sunglasses, the Tennis Racquets, with an updated version in 1985 as a tribute to Wimbledon - Britain's finest tennis championship.  These brilliantly bizarre frames are a collector's piece with only a handful of vintage pairs available, one of which is held at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London.  If you are interested in owning your own pair, you can request to have them custom made for you!

So as the tournament progresses, keep your eyes peeled for Oliver Goldsmith sunglasses being worn by spectators and don't forget to check out Radley's page for your chance to win a pair of OG's for yourself, a Radley bag and a whole host of other treats.
